Katie is delighted to have been appointed as the new Director of Brighton Consort and looks forward to exploring exciting concert projects with the choir over the forthcoming seasons.
Katie pursues a two-pronged performing career as a conductor and singer. After postgraduate study at the Royal Academy of Music she has directed numerous performances with her own ensembles, Galantia Voices and the newly formed Taliesin Consort, and as Musical Director of Capel Choral Society and the Choir and Orchestra of Goodenough College, London.
She has worked as chorus master on the BBC TV celebrity conductor show, Maestro, and has acted as assistant conductor of the renowned Swansea Bach Choir and vocal coach of the National Youth Choir of Wales.
On the other side of the conductor's stand, Katie sings regularly on the international platform with several vocal ensembles, including the Monteverdi Choir, Polyphony and the Academy of Ancient Music.
